  1. Oh, yeah, things are good. What people need to see is the beauty of the franchise; it’s truly an international teamed packed with Swedes, Russians, Canadiens, Czechs and so on … the team has been able to win four titles over the last 11 years despite a lockout, salary cap and ever-changing rules. Best of all on a personal level was Nicklas Lidstrom captaining Detroit to a Stanley Cup championship. He’s a class act and arguably the best NHL defenseman in history.

  2. Nicklas Lidstrom is great, and I love workhorses like Kris Draper. They’re a hard-working team that isn’t at the mercy of the whims of one or two prima donna types; Everybody pulls their weight. They sure as hell didn’t need a whiner like Federov to win this one.

  3. I hate the Redwings. However, I am a depressed LA Kings fan so I really am probably just bitter and jealous. I’m glad the Ducks did not win again. I still can’t stand that fact that the Ducks won the cup before the Kings.

  4. Three significant reasons the Kings didn’t win a cup before Anaheim did: John LeClair, Patrick Roy, and Marty McSorley.
