Residents Of Niigata Town Get Discounted Jero CDs

The town of Izumozaki, in Niigata Prefecture, is selling copies of Jero’s Enka CD containing the hit song, “Umiyuki” with a 500-yen discount. The town government approved allocating budget money so that purchases of the CD by town residents would be subsidized. The town of Izumozaki is mentioned in the lyrics of the song, “Umiyuki.”

This time, a 14-year-old girl gassed herself to death in Konan, Kochi. This death-by-Hydrogen-Sulfide thing is all the rage these days, it seems. Should we even care about these selfish turds that do themselves in this way anymore? It seems we should be concerned about the people they injure or murder in the process. I mean, 14 neighbors were hospitalized  because of this! Is Japan going to become the country where household cleaning products are banned because people can’t resist the urge to inhale the shit? Seriously, WTF?!!! Next time, it might be you or a loved one that ends up being in an area too close to one of these self-terminating maniacs.

Online Insults Earn Teenage Boy A Beating With A Baseball Bat

A 14-year old Chiba boy was beaten unconscious with a baseball bat and remains in the hospital in serious condition after being attacked for posting online slurs against a previously unmet 17-year-old on Wednesday. The 17-year-old admitted to beating the younger boy by saying, “He posted bad things about me on a site and it made me mad, so I hit him.”
Well, I guess you can’t argue with that kind of reasoning.

A Plan To Reduce The Number Of Freeters In Japan Is Unveiled

In an effort to reduce the amount of freeters in Japan by 110,000 by 2010 has been revealed. It is hoped that this effort will help improve the economy. Freeters will be aided in finding full-time jobs by receiving special training and education to help them along.
What is a freeter? A freeter is defined as a person who works part-time, is between the ages of 15 and 34, and is neither a student, nor a married woman.

Japanese Oil Tanker Attacked Off The Coast Of Yemen

A Japanese oil tanker was attacked by another ship of the coast of Yemen, Monday. The oil tanker was en route to Saudia Arabia when the incident happened. Apparently, it was struck by a rocket launched from a small boat. None of the crew members aboard were injured, but the tanker is reported to have been leaking fuel. The tanker is operated by Nippon Yusen K.K.

Man commits suicide after strangling ailing mother to death

A 58-year-old man, who hanged himself was found by his brother in a shed by his house on Sunday in Yamagata. Apparently, the man had grown tired of caring for his mother, who had been suffering from dementia and asthma.

President of IT firm arrested after stripping naked on a shinkansen train

The president of and Osaka-based IT firm called Firstserver, Inc. was arrested last weekend for stripping naked in front of a female crewmember who had been vending food and beverages at the time. The man has been charged with indecent exposure. What’s funny is that this isn’t the first time this has happened on a shinkansen train.

  2. The Beatles last live concert was….68? maybe ? So they beat Cheap Trick by quite a few years:) I saw Cheap Trick open for …? Aerosmith? Maybe? I was wasted outta my mind!!!
